Anybody do these? While out grilling yesterdays catch tonight, I was looking at the fillets and thought about the shrimp poboys and grouper sandwiches , etc that we eat sometimes when on the gulf. Why wouldn't crappie be as good or better? Hmmm gonna be ready to try that.
Crappie filets seasoned and lightly buttered on the grill. When perfect place one or two layers on a hoagie bun , maybe lightly toasted, or such with some tartar sauce or in my wifes preference, raspberry jelly, with some shredded lettuce and maybe even a slice or two of mater , maybe a little shredded onion.
May have to go fishin in the morning.
