Clover doesn't stand a chance

With the lack of acorns in some areas I'm worried fall plots are going to get mowed down..... adding cereal rye followed by some winter wheat to a few of our bigger plots hoping they can survive the pressure.

Couple mornings a week I can take pics of that many deer in my yard. Its nice! Results of no bushhogging except every 2 yrs and stagger it.

The best thing you can do for a clover plot is to drill in wheat or cereal rye along with additional clover seed early to mid September and fertilize. Adding the cereal grains will help absorb browse pressure and will shelter the clover thru the winter.

Mine was in real bad shape until July 24. Since then we've gotten 7.86" and thankful for it.

Got one & possibly two that's not going to make it as they are in full sun & ridge top plots.

You're in worse shape than we are. We got no rain in June or most of July, but then got 3" right at the end of July. Only 1" so far all of August.

Every deer in this video is a buck. Couple of decent ones. I love this stand. It is hard to keep count of how many deer use this spot.
