I used to but my wife won't have it. Freaks her out and honestly it does me now as well. I'm sure clogged vents contribute to many house fires.

Never a thought about possible consequences.

We have a gas dryer that would go up in spectacular fashion.

I actually had a Kenmore dishwasher light off at 1:15 AM when all were asleep but me. That is why I have two fire extinguishers in my kitchen. Sears said it was my fault; I know you think I am kidding but thats the honest truth.

Same here. It does make me feel better that my vent line is only 12" long and it is straight. I have never been one to worry about much.
