To make a long story short, I had a Talley ring fail yesterday. So today I had to remount and sight in my Remington Smokeless Muzzleloader (The conversion was done by Tim on this site and it uses the savage breech plug with vent liners. It has a new Lehigh vent liner installed.) It only took me 6 shoots to get the rifle zeroed in. So now to my question would you suggest that I clean the muzzleloader before tomorrow's hunt.

For the most part using a SML i leave it just the way it was after the last shot of sighting in. Running ONE dry patch however after that last shot might be useful with some powders and loads. Its possible some powders after a certain amount of time could get a little crusty depending on environment. Probably wont be a huge deal other than feeling a little harder to load. Ive seen a handful of guys mention this using 4198 sabotless. I never noticed it with N110 or N120 but i do run a dry patch if using Reloder7 just because it leaves a lot more fouling.
