finally broke the dry spell. killed and recovered a doe opening day of archery on the hatchie refuge. it was december 22nd before i was able to draw blood again in brownsville on private land with another doe. then on the following afternoon the 23rd i got this nice 7pt. 200yrds with a rem 700 .308 168grn sirrea gameking went 20 yards piled up like a sack of potatoes. i didn't get to hunt very much this year as my wife and i had our second little girl in early september. I'm satisfied tho!!! this 7pt is the largest bodied deer i ever killed. it filled my yeti 75 tundra completely full with zero ice. i had to buy a different cooler for my doe. i guess thats a good problem to have.
