Childs lifetime license

My grand daughter recently turned 1 year old. Like I did for a grandson from another child. I want to buy her lifetime license but neither of her parents are current Tennessee residents although her mother is from TN and her father is from KY and abroad in the military. The child and mother currently live in KY. Can I still buy her Tennessee lifetime sportsmans license?

I'd call the license sales division in Nashville and ask for some guidance. 1-615-781-6500

Or any regional office would have the information. I think the child has to be a Tennessee resident. Parent's place of birth would have no bearing.

From TWRA:

"Applicants under the age of three (3) years must have at least one parent or designated guardian who was a resident of Tennessee at the time of the child's birth and has continued to reside in Tennessee since birth."

Ya the parents/child need to be resident I want to do all my grand children also but one is in SD so cant to him. The military parent may be able to change his resident.

I guess I will have to wait till her father rotates home. If he gets stationed at Campbell then its easy.
