This has been my experience too. We just free range ours now and make sure to coop em back up at night.Just my 2 cent, but if you plan on moving it a lot, then you are better off buying a dog kennel and put a doghouse in it on blocks. I haven't seen a chicken tractor make it more than 3 years.
We have to put our Jack Russell up to let ours out for sure. She is a killing machine and you can't blame her for that. LoLI have a dog that would probably have too much fun with them so they're gonna have to have a coop or tractor with a run
