My opening day rifle will be my Browning A-Bolt Micro left hand 308 topped off with Talley Lightweights and Zeiss Conquest 2.5-8x32 shooting 165 gr SST with 46 gr of Varget. I haven't hunted with it since I killed my biggest deer with it. Time to get it back out in the woods.

Encore 7/08 with eabco 20 inch barrel. Like a toy. DNz mount with Zeiss conquest pushing federal premium 140 grain barnes. I have had a lot of deer rifles and this is prolly last one I'll ever own.

I'll be using my ultra slug hunter 20 gauge. Deer usually don't run away agree being hit with that.
My son will be using his marlin 30/30.

Remington 700 CDL Stainless fluted 257 Weatherby if I decide to hunt a field.


Marlin 336 35 Remington if I hunt the woods. This will be my 1st attempt at killing a deer with a cast bullet so I'm really leaning towards the 35 Remington and the thick woods for Opening Day.
