I got back from the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association matches in Friendship, Indiana last week and they had plenty of powder, but caps were scarce. The very few vendors that had them were selling them for $15-20 per container of 100. The powder they had was Swiss and Schuetzen (German). The Swiss was $30 a pound and the Schuetzen was $22. If you wanted powder, you could buy up to 25 lbs. All percussion #11 caps out there are old stock, and the producers aren't making them at present with no firm date as to when they will resume. So, when the old stock is gone there's going to be a serious dry spell for caplock shooters.

On a positive note, Estes Industries which bought the GOEX plant is still on target, I'm told, for having Goex back on the market by early 2023. They will still label and release the GOEX brand first and later follow with Olde Eynsford. OE is a premium black powder and is comparable to Swiss. On another plus note Estes is contemplating making percussion caps which would be really great if they did. The info on Estes came straight from a major distributor of black powder.
