Caught a few today

My girlfriend, my son and myself went on an 8 hour trip this morning in PCB. The snapper didn't really cooperate, but we got on a couple spots that were loaded with Mahi Mahi. We ended up with 30 Mahi, 2 and 1/2 red snapper (had to pay our taxes) and a trigger fish (out of season). It was a pretty good day.

That half red snapper pic is hilarious. Sure am glad there's nothing that can bite like that in the Tennessee river.

I always liked running into dolphin. They will bite about anything and I like the taste. Trigger fish are really good too; hate it when fishing when the seasons don't overlap.

Great day! I hate it when a shark gets a nice fish like that! The dolphin are a great tradeoff though.

Have only deep sea fished a few times but that's the thing about catching snapper. Reel em up slow and the sharks get them. Reel em up fast and the swim bladder comes out of there mouth. If out of season as soon as you throw them back the dolphins hammer em. It's a no win situation for them.
