Caught this guy on a spinning rod with 20 lb braid with a 10 lb leader fishing a small jigging spoon for yellow bellies and stripe. Took around 45 minutes to get him in. What do you think he will weigh? 49" long and 32" around.

Based on formula, 62.72 lbs. Biologists often use this formula to calculate catfish (and other fish) weights: Length x Girth x Girth /800 = Weight. In this case, 49x32x32/800=62.72 lbs. Cross-checking against digital scales I have found the formula to be accurate +- 5%. The variable usually comes in how well you measure... and I actually do not know if you are supposed to measure to the fork of the tail, or the tip. I would assume to the fork would provide the greatest accuracy. NICE fish, no matter what the weight!

did you get a TARP pi

I'm guessing that's a picture with the measurements? I did not. I did take a picture of the ole lady laying next to it though lol
I would think just a picture of that monster would be enough for a TARP.
Well not if you were the same height as rem270 but I think you would be good.
