I'm looking for a cantilever mount for a 1 inch scope to go on a 450 Bushmaster. I have looked at Vortex Sport, Leupold Mark AR, Burris PEPR, Aerolight and a half dozen more. What would some of you reccomend that will handle the recoil under $100?

I have a Warne on my AR now. It's just a .223 but thing is built like a tank and right at that $100 mark

I would increase your budget and get a Larue LT204 C.A.N. mount.
Those are $200 and are way more than I'm willing to spend on a scope mount.

Anyone have any idea why AR mounts cost so much more than a set of bases/rings for a bolt action rifle? Both do the exact same thing. I would use a regular set of rings but I need the 2" offset to get the scope mounted far enough forward.

They're $138.96 on Larue's website.
