We have a little JVC camcorder that we've been recording our baby on since she's been born.It takes SD cards for storage. We've been useing 8gb SD cards in it.Well we can't ever view any of the videos.WHen I put the card in the computer I can't get nothing to play it.It says its a (.ced) fild and I don't have a program to play it.It said to download a codec file to play it.I have downloaded a codec file, but still can't play them..Can anyone help?

If the camera won't play it back, you are in a bad way. If it will, then you need to get a cable that will feed it to another format, whether that be to your comp or to a DVD recorder, and get it backed up in another media form

A USB cable will do it Cecil.
Remember when you Download you have to decide if you want the card erased or not.Just throwing that out.And make sure your card is not locked.

There are several conversion programs out there that can convert the CED to an AVI or MPEG4. I have never used any of them, but I have used the ones that go mpeg to avi to get stuff converted to use on my phone. You can also change the record format on the camera to something other than ced so that future ivdeos are not done that way.
