Any of you guys ever call in the woods? I have permission to hunt a really large farm that the landowner says is loaded with coyotes. I have not had much luck calling the out into the open fields and was wondering if I might do better by setting up in the woods. I am new to predator hunting so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

Coyotes will come into a field responding to a call, I don't think they like the exposure during the day. When I am hunting alone, I usually sit sideways on the field/woods line so I can see the field and the woods. If hunting with another person, one of us will face the woods the other watching the field. I set up in the timber often. Some of the sounds that I have had good results with is Lucky Bird, any bird sounds, grey Fox sounds & Grey Squirrel. Watch the wind ! Watch the wind !! Watch the wind !!!
