About 10 or 15 minutes ago I saw two hens running from right to left behind the house, on the other side of the fence. My window was open so I grabbed the nearest call (box call) and got their attention.... The second one ended up hanging behind and looking around, so I went downstairs and went to get my camera and then she was gone. Well just a minute or two ago I was in the kitchen and caught movement out the window and there's a hen crossing our backyard. Both of them had crossed the fence up where it's easier to cross and then came back on our side. Here they are in the neighbors yards eating the fresh grass -
I hope this means a gobbler or two will show up soon. I love waking up in the morning to hear one sounding off behind the house.
