Bullet performance, .224 65gr SGK

For those who are into this kind of thing, below are the entry and exit wounds from my daughters first deer last Saturday morning. 60 yards, 5.56 M4 AR15, 25gr H4895, tan less than 50 yards. This is the second first deer for this rifle (my niece used it for her first), and this round really does well. I love seeing bullet performance in real life situations.

That looks like ideal shot placement. I had planned to shoot one with my 9" .300 blackout this fall but never got my Form 20 sent in to get the king's permission to travel out of state with my SBR.

Great shooting on Your Daughter's part, and the pics tell a great story.

My 22-250 with a standard 1:14 twist won't stabilize anything over 60 grains but thats okay, Nosler built that 60 gr Partition just for me.

It punches through pretty much like the pictured 65 gr Sierra.

In my 223 AR & the 223 Bolt Axis we load up 25 gr of H335 behind the same 60 Partition.

I run them with 26 grs Varget and have had same results with my CZ527V 223,,they put coyotes down as good as anything I ever saw,,
