When do you think this fawn was born, and when do you think the mother of it was bred ? The date on the video is the correct date it was taken on trail cam.

What pass-thru said. Probably an August or early September birth, which would be a February or early March breeding. By the look of the doe, she is a yearling, meaning she was bred as a fawn. It's not uncommon for very healthy female fawns to reach estrus while they are still a fawn, but they usually do so quite late in the winter. This can actually be a good sign--very healthy deer. In the deer season one year after a good acorn crop year, in TN, I often find 25% of yearling does are lactating, meaning they were bred as fawns and produced surviving offspring.

I feel sure the doe I killed this morning would have been eligible to breed this year and for sure, she is this year's fawn.
