I would love to really know what has happened to the fawn recruitment rate in most of the Southeast? Lots of guesses but none that I personally believe would have had that much of an actual, immediate, and ongoing impact for so many years now??? Not that its detrimental or anything but its a fact! Turkey populations come to mind over exact same timeframe???
You know, I've always downplayed the reduced turkey population thing. But I have to admit, while going back through all my camera data for the last 8 years, I was shocked by how often and how large of flocks I used to get on my cameras in the fall. MUCH more than I do now, and I mean MUCH more.

There's a doe that has twins every year that frequently is on my property or somewhere along the rural dead end road I live on. She had twin button bucks last year. She's been around for at least 3or4 years . I haven't seen her this year. She may have been shot or died.
