What's your strategy on being concealed with no foliage? Equipment, camo, and technique?
I"m assuming you Ghilli up and just wait for the right to draw?
I just sit by a tree. Regular camo, no ghillie suit. Place a decoy out about 10-12 yds. Once he locks in on decoy you can get away with a lot of movement. I use a kick stand to have bow at the ready. It really isn't that hard. It just takes patience.
Here's a video of one I killed last year. This turkey stayed behind me for an hour at 60-70yds. Got aggressive with the call. Another bird began to gobble and this one broke. I was able to draw when he strutted away from me but it usually doesn't happen like that. I let them get up to the decoy then draw.
Man that was awesome, I don't see how In the world you wasn't picked off when he was coming in, solid black bow and solid white arrows settin in front of the tree??
