Bought my first bow today, very excited

Well, I went to Bass Pro today and checked out some bows and other bow equipment. I picked out a PSE Nova S8 and got it tuned up and ready to rock, just needs to be sighted in which I will probably do next weekend. Also bought some carbon arrows, broadheads, field tips, and a release. Im gona buy me a target tomorrow probably and Ill get my treestand here in afew weeks. This has to be one of the most exciting days of my life, Im so ready to get out in the woods and take my first deer.
 
Congrats on the new bow ! You will have plenty of time before next season to practice and get used to shooting it . :) Be patient , it takes time .

Take the above comment to heart. If you are a new bowhunter I can only hope and pray that you are not planning on attempting to harvest a deer with a bow this season. It's not just something you go out and do without spending quite a bit of time in preparation and practice. IT DOES TAKE TIME!
 
Yes I know, Ive got afew buddys who are bowhunters and my uncle is also a big bowhunter, they all tell me exactly what yall are saying so Im glad to know Im on the right track, thanks all. =]

You think buying your bow was exciting. Just wait until you arrow your first deer! :grin: Then you will know EXCITEMENT!!!

Did anyone else mention? Practice, practice, practice!

Plink said it well. I'm not exactly sure I remember where my rifle or MZ ammo is anymore :D

Bowhunting is what made it exciting for me like nothing ever had!
 
Congrats! Practice alot. Also, I'd recommend going to a pro shop and taking a few lessons to learn the fundamentals. You don't wanna start out with bad habits!
