Bought a Rock

Seems like time and inventory are running out for 1911's so I bought a Rock. Price was good and it was available. I am not a big pistol shooter but it just seem right to own a 1911.

Absolutely. Classic that is still more than adequate for anything in its class.

I have 2 9mms and another Ruger 45 that is not a 1911. The 1911 has balance and heft that neither 9 or the 45 has. It just feels good in my hand. Big plus today I discovered that I have once fired 45 cases that take a small pistol primer so I can get into reloading for the pistol. I was worried it was gonna be a safe queen until the great shortage breaks next year.

Love me some 1911's.. Been looking at some of the RIA offerings on the 10mm calibers. Doubt I would ever be able to find one in the current climate.

I've carried a Colt MK IV 1911 since the early 80's. Tee shirt over it and nobody notices. Bianchi fold away holster.

I haven't seen 10mm ammo in a long time.

10mm ammo has been relatively easy to find in my area. I am stocked up since I have a S&W 610-3 Revolver in 10mm.
