Probably a huge source of coprolites as well.

In the late 1800's a huge boneyard was discovered in Nebraska. So many bones that they used extra bones to build a house and called it the oldest house in the world.

They had some fantastic coprolite specimens on display.

Not sure if they are talking about the area along the Yukon river. When you boat by the boneyard along the Yukon in the summer you can actually smell rotting meat as the ground thaws and falls away revealing mastodons carcasses.

This is near Fairbanks. Same thing there, they say you can smell it rotting. The guy said they actually ate some Mammoth
