Bluffs, water fall, and creek.

I walked thru this area while deer hunting the other day. I scanned the banks and gravel piles below the falls for points, didn't see any. Is this an area where you'd expect to find artifacts? I'm thinking about going back out there and looking further.
The areas where small rocks were accumulated looked like they'd be the perfect place to look, or maybe dig. Is that correct?
(BTW this is in Cumberland county TN.)

I'm sure some artifacts have washed down there over the centuries, but I'd expect to find more on higher ground near feeder creeks or springs.
