Way cool. I’ve seen both white and black in this town that was near to where I grew up, they had both white and few black ones:

There is a neighborhood that I deliver In Sevierville that is covered up with them. It’s not unusual to see a dozen or more in a couple of yards.

See them in the “city” here in New Tazewell. Was picking up a pizza at Little Caesar’s the other day and watched one for several minutes. Pretty darn neat.

Where I use to hunt in Georgia there were solid black fox squirrels... always wanted a mount of one but just could not shoot one.

Used to see black fox squirrels often in NC, always wanted to get one to take to a taxidermist, but never had the right tool, figured a 30/30 or .270 might not leave enough to stuff.

Yeah I saw them all the time out at Bragg. Haven't seen any here though.

Melanistic animals are cool to see whether squirrel or coyote. Neat,bop.
