Beer Snobs: Sam Adams in a Can

I have mixed feelings....but then again, I'm not often in a position to drink beer where bottles aren't allowed.

Fine with me. Most times when I'm somewhere that doesn't allow cans such as the beach, golf course, etc..., I'm not exactly wanting a craft brew.

I've had one Sam Adams, in a bottle, and it was just fine. I'm not a sophisticated beer swiller by any measure, but I generally like really cold beer that doesn't leave an aftertaste similar to cough medicine. I've determined that most of the people that I know that really like the thick, strong beers have retarded taste buds. They all like Ranch dressing too. Something has got to be wrong with that. All of these specialty beers are like tampons. Don't need them for anything.

I'm curious how you draw the parallel. It is my experience that someone too wimpified to drink beer stronger than Bud Light generally requires Midol on a regular basis

I don't like strong smelling women either. Some people call Bud Light, Coors, etc., pisswater. I think of the thick stuff as pisswater with a turd garnish. I can't find fault in anyone liking that stuff, it just never appealed to me. When I started drinking beer in the 70's, we couldn't even buy Coors here. All this beer snob brew is wasted on me, much like hair product and designer coffee. And tampons.

Poser, imagine a single, extended finger in the middle of my hand waving wildly at my screen. I'm confident they didn't really care what they drank tasted like as long as it didn't taste like water, mud, feces, Fresca or Ranch dressing.

I like beer with taste. That rules out most of the beers that Hangnail appears to prefer. I love business trips to Portland, Seattle and Anchorage because of the local beers.

Oh, and I don't like Ranch. Blue Cheese all the way.

I have had the oppertunity to sample a few beer in my lifetime I have been across the pond and other countries as well. I tried several Micros from California, Colorado, and others.
I also lived next to a German fellow that said we Yanks that drank beer cold were wimps, I disagreed with him and after several "warm" beers, I woke, I forgot where.
But my point to all this is that you Yuppies can keep all the "heavy" beers, warm beers, and micros, Just hand me a real cold Ultra, and leave me alone.

Call me a beer snob. I like the craft beers. I like dark beer, and amber/red beer.

I also like ranch dressing.

Spaten...nuff said. All other beer is swill. Unfortunately I cant get it locally so I drink Coors until I run across it and stock up.

My friend as old as I have gotten, if it is stronger that water I need to watch out. Might intefer with all the meds I have to take.
