My cousin is hunting in MS this weekend. This morning he just happened to sit down on a rattlesnake. I guess the cool temps had the snake lethargic. He didn't rattle or strike.

Luckily, he and I are not allergic to poison ivy or poison oak. That's one hazard we don't have to worry about. But we are allergic to rattlesnakes!

I prefer to do that, but I have been caught where I didn't have time.

I about quit turkey hunting because of ticks. that would make me give it up no doubt.

Alright that's it. I'm going to petition Congress to make a law, all internet posts containing danger noodles must be prefaced with a snake warning

I wont hardly sit down when I turkey hunt. I try to get hidden standing behind a tree. I hunt in rattlesnake country and the later opening this year will make snakes and ticks a bigger concern. I suck at turkey hunting too but sometimes I get lucky.
