Just read you story here, congrats on gutting this thing out. You're a hero for people and may never know it.

It's a thin line...and even if a person does really need it they can still be addicted and when they get addicted it can be very hard for them to determine where the line actually is.
An addicted brain can cause a body enough pain to make it think it needs the drugs if it does or not..
I never believed that before but it's the truth

Having said that I would never judge anyone that says they need them..I would only advise them to be honest with themselves about it.

I feel for ya brother its a tuff row to hoe for sure
I've been on pain meds for 23 yrs now . My Dr used to ask me " do you take pain meds because you hurt or are you hurting because you take pain meds " . Like you said " its a fine line "

Sadly, I will have to go to a pain clinic for the rest of my life do to 22" of spinal fusion and nerve damage...
Being able to do what you have accomplished is what I can only dream of doing some day with Medical advances.
