Awesome view from river bluff (pic)

I am scouting a potential turkey hunting spot. Not too far away I found another spot early this morning and heard some gobbling and seen a couple longbeards.

So here I am in a good vantage point for listening for birds on both sides of the river. I will have to come out here in the morning soon to hear some gobbling. But I'm looking out over this CRP field across the river -

And I was watching some deer down below. 3 in the trees by the river and 3 out in the middle of the field. My $10 tasco binocs actually helped a bit, the deer were several hundred yards off. From this height I can see deer in the tall grass and might have to hunt it next season. I could do some non intrusive scouting from up here with a pair of binocs just to see where they travel.

I might sit here a little longer. Perfect weather, great day to be off work. Oh and I just took the first tick of the year off of my back. Time for permethrin...

this was a different power cut although I didn't see your stand at the first one. But I forgot where to look for it.

They are a couple hundred yds behind you by the creek, or at least they used to be.

yes that's the way I came in. If I had a long range rifle I could sit on that bluff and shoot either way down the power cut. But I have a 30-30 and like the close range shots.
