Got in the woods at 12 and had deer on me immediately. Around 4:30 I heard a chase across the field. Turned out to be 5 bucks on one doe. They made several laps around field and biggest buck got her penned up in a thick fence row. He was a shooter but wanted to make my last tag count. 2 more shooters showed up during all the commotion and I don't know how many small bucks. I was just sitting back enjoying the show when I saw a deer run in opposite side of field. This 8 was following along. I missed this deer 2 weeks ago during muzzleloader and hadn't had any sign of him since. Was worried I'd made a bad hit just because he hadn't shown back up. Thought about letting him go but once he got out in front of me I knew my last tag was punched. Biggest bodied deer I have ever killed.

No but no doubt he was heavy. Going to have to get a scale so I can start weighing them. I'm 6'1" and 265 and I wouldn't have wanted to drug him far.
