I just bought a spool of the stuff after hearing some encouraging things about its performance on spinning reels (high sensitivity, long casts, extra small diameter, low memory for twisting). It was expensive, but leftover Christmas gift cards are nice come springtime :).

I was curious if any of you had advice for using it. Several things I'm wondering about:

1 - Any warnings/cautions while using it that I need to watch for?

2 - What sort of knots have you used with good success?

3 - Do you think a leader is necessary? It's thin, but I'm not sure about its visibility in water.

Thanks!

I used it today for the first time. The feel was great and it had no memory. The wind was blowing about 10-15 and I did not get any wind knots. I used it on a spinning reel. I think it is not recommended for a baitcasting reel. I land a 20 inch smallmouth without fear of it breaking.

I use it and love it. It'll cast a mile, no stretch, no line twist, no memory. I use it both straight to the lure and with fluorocarbon leaders. I don't like its abrasion resistance so I don't recommend it for river fishing from the bank.
