Those pictures are great illustrations on the right and wrong way to hold a bass out of water. Holding one just by grabbing the jaw can lead to a jaw dislocation. The other picture with another hand supporting is MUCH better for the fish.

And, yes, I see the "pros" doing the wrong way all of the time.

Great fish and really nice pictures of her.

I read an article a couple weeks ago that went directly against the jaw dislocation articles of late. Pretty much said it was fake news.

I don't claim to know it all but I'd much rather see one held vertically like this than one held by the jaw and the fish body in a horizontal direction. Of course we all can agree the supported fish appears to be the better choice.
