So you think they are going to actually burn every perfectly good blind that is now tier 2 and build them all before season like they said?

They realized they bit off way more than they can chew and will utilize the blinds already on site and spread their building out over a few years. Mark it down.
They said as much during the commission meeting.

No doubt that it could happen. Wouldn't be the 1st time rumor turned into fact but at this point it is just that, rumor.
This whole ordeal seems like the TWRA is shooting from the hip at every turn. We're going to do this, no wait a minute, we're going to do that instead. Chinese fire drill at it's best.

It would be a shame the ones they do decide to keep and use go up in flames overnight 🤷🏿‍♂️

Just curious, but how do you know it was TWRA that torched this?
There were 7 TWRA trucks in the parking lot. There are photos of the blind burning. People that started the post had all the pictures up at one point on Facebook. I just looked and can not find the original post with those pictures. If I see them again i will share them here.

We are twra, we know best.
Nothing to see here, move along.
My guess is now that the state is in charge of the blinds and responsible for them. They have to go way above normal building practices to prevent lawsuits if someone is hurt in the blind because of the quality of the blind.
In the past you build it at your own risk. Now it is state built and state risk?

On top of the fact that the brush will get worse and worse throughout the year, you know all the new blinds are going to be out in the wide open instead of tucked back in/ built around good cover.

Im sure most locals will freshen them up when/if they ever get drawn though.

The groups at the end of the year will have a hard time hiding after every body breaks out a comfortable shooting hole and trash stuffed all over. As you can tell I don't have much hope in people respecting the resources we have
No no no, nobody will trash anything, don't you remember the video twra put out of that one blind that had trash in it?
Stopping the blind hopping will end all of that nonsense don't ya know?

Totally forgot about that. Yeah no hopping will fix everything. I bet that works.

As far as the trash goes they said at one of the committee meetings that the blinds will be regularly checked and cleaned by officers.

Now does anyone actually believe that for a single second?

After this goat roping I actually believe absolutely NOTHING from the commission or the agency.
Sad times.

I feel sorry for the friends of mine that work for TWRA.
Luckily most are already or about to retire so they can be shed of this farce of a wildlife organization.

I hope they've thoroughly tested these floaters Anyone who has ever messed with one knows it don't take much for one to become dangerous quick. Wouldn't that be a shame if one were to flip and injure someone. Seems like a huge liability
