Anybody killed deer with handguns?

I've killed a couple with my Ruger Security Six, .357.

I've taken two deer with a Ruger Blackhawk, 44 Rem Mag, 10.5" bbl, firing Hornady 140gr XTP bullets. Both deer fell within 15 yards after being hit.

I've hunted deer with a handgun for over 30 years. There was a few years that I never even picked a rifle up. It can be a great way to deer hunt as long as you keep the shots within ethical range and practice practice practice. I've killed deer with 357, 44 mag, 44 special, 10mm, 40 and 460.

I have killed with both a S&W 29 and a TC Encore 10in in 7mm-08. I will eventually get my Encore set up the way I want I will probably hunt with it exclusively.

Doesn't really count as a pistol but I killed one with a 7mm08 encore pistol with a 8X scope.

hopefully this year because I will be only using my 44 mag for late muzzleloader since I sold my Encore. I only have a doe tag but have to hunt in a different county, but hope to see a few.

I shot one a few years ago with my ruger super Blackhawk in 44 mag. Mine has a 10-1/2" barrel also. It's a shooter. I have a Nikon pro hunter pistol scope on it and shoot the hot day leverloution ammo. It shoots pretty well.

I use a 686 stainless in .357 with a 7" barrel and have taken deer out to 50 yards with no problem. I really enjoy hunting with my hand cannon.

Doesn't really count as a pistol but I killed one with a 7mm08 encore pistol with a 8X scope.

It's considered a handgun by law. I'm trying for one this year. Have a T/C contender in 44 mag.

Took this one this year with a G2 Contender muzzleloader handgun. 45 caliber shooting a 40 cal. sabot. I have another tag to fill and I'm switching between a T/C Contender in 41 magnum, a Ruger SRH in 41 mag. and a Ruger custom GP100 in 357 mag. I'll be carrying the T/C 41 mag. Saturday.

I shot one with my Blackhawk 357 and one with my ruger old army bp pistol, both were very close and both were knocked flat on the spot.

Started to shoot a little 1 horned spike Yesterday evening. Had the Security Six sights lined up on him. Second time I've seen him. Went ahead and gave him another pass.

Handgun kills include a 52 inch Alaskan moose, Sitka blacktail, mule deer and whitetail.

I have a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag that I want to set up and hunt with. Think it would be cool to kill one with a pistol.

I have a stainless Contender with 14" 7-30 Waters barrel that I plan to hunt with as soon as I get it scoped.
