Anybody else into “Combat Grips” on their old SW revolvers?

I was looking for a missing rifle magazine and found a set of factory Smith & Wesson combat grips in my safe, that I'd forgotten I even had. The ole 44 Mag SW Mountain Gun had an ugly set of grips.. but not anymore! These old combats were the best feeling SW grips ever put out, IMO.. not to mention looking fantastic. Just wondered if anyone else had thing for them.. or, some sets they don't use and wanted to sell me to feed my addiction :D

My two favorite grips over the years are no longer available. Isn't that the case with most good gun things? For Target and Duty I loved the S&W factory square butt target grips that were wood. For concealed carry K-frames the Ahrends Round Butt Finger Groove Cocobolo Grips were perfect.

Altamont makes some very nice aftermarket wood grips.

Days gone by.
