The question is can you use a fmj bullet to hunt deer in Tn.?

If not, are they legal in other states?

No. FMJ bullets are illegal to hunt with in the state of tennessee. Plinking and self defense are another story..

Curious, legal or not, why would anyone want to hunt with fmj? Minimal damage to tissue, even exagerated by the fact that the bullet in question is only .243 in diameter.
