Another ammo thread

Just thought of something else.
The VP said something about getting a shotgun or whatever for self defense.

Kinda funny that you can't buy any .22 ammo but you can go to just about ANY store that sells ammo and buy any gauge and any amount of shotgun shells you want. (Nitros excluded for obvious reasons)

Just find that odd.


What is starting to concern me is not that you can't buy .22 shells, but I haven't seen a box of Remington Core Lokt .300 win mag shells on the shelf for MONTHS.

Guess they got all their lines running .22 and other pistol ammo.

Hope crap settles before deer season.
If .22 shells are upwards of $60 a brick, .300 win mag shells will be $455.99 for a box of 20 by the time deer season gets here.

My biggest concern is the lack of primers. If you think finding factory ammo is hard, try finding reloading supplies.

savvy folks are loading at home and making a bundle of cash selling to friends and family.

A primer is like GOLD right now

It's going for between 30 and 60 a box. Several stores online with it in stock. Had to order some due to my normal supplier being out of stock.

I will need a couple boxes of 308 and 243 ammo before deer season, hope it is available at normal prices by then, I ain't paying $50 a box of 20 for them...

I have a substantial stash of hand loading components for 22-250, 7mm08, 243, 280, 308, 30/06, and some 300 winmag. I will not personally let any Tndeer member go hungry for ammo and I will not gouge. If this mess ain't let up some by then I will work with you to take care of your ammo needs. I have seen some 300 winmag corelokts at Walmart, a few 7mm mags also. Not now, please. Anyone in need of primers, I have 210M's but not for sale. I will keep a list and expect you to repay in kind down the road. If you ain't up for that, don't ask.

I honestly believed Obummer would be a distant dot in our rear view mirror but being of sound mind, stocked up anyway.

Saw some Rem .300 wm core-lokt on the shelf at SW just yesterday Ruger, just one box tho. I finished up my visit by adding to my hoard of .308 and .243 bullets. :grin: I saw some 180 gr 30-06 in several brands tho... but no 150 grainers, which is what I prefer to shoot.

Here is my question what has happened to cci? We all know the buying power that wal-mart has and every store I have visited tells me they haven't seen a mini mag in 3 months. Where are they going?
