Aluminum question

What is the preferred metal for bolts that will come in contact with aluminum in a marine application? I'm thinking it's stainless but I'm not sure. I'm getting conflicting results while searching Google.

I always did SS and coated in silicone if it was through hull like bolting to the transom.

^^^^^^^this is what I do. I have not had any rusting or freezing issues with ss. They make aluminum bolts and nuts but most likely would have to order from dealer.

stainless screws or bolts. if installing a transducer or mounting plate best to use 3M 4200 or 5200 instead of plain silicon.

yes this is exactly what I do.

All SS bolts, no cutting corners, if I'm one bolt short I go buy another one, regular ones will always rust
