looking at getting one for my son to use for turkey and some trap, but mostly just a well rounded youth gun. I know nothing about Akkar shotguns at this point (which is surprising cause I know A LOT about shotguns in general)

anyone have any insight on them or first hand knowledge? for the price and features seems like a good option to start with. Was gonna get him a Stoeger M3020 or Weatherby SA-08 if one ever gets back in stock but thinking this may be a good option.

A friend of mine just bought the Akkar 220 turkey model. From the pics, it's a good looking gun. It shot well with the extra full turkey choke that came with it and Federal TSS #9s.

I have a CZ branded pump made by Akkar and it's very nice...have killed a few turkeys with it....very light and kicks like a black mule with turkey loads..but don't shoot them often of course...
