Academy Sports 4473 denial

Saw two different men arguing at Academy with the guy behind counter, both had been denied by Tbi on background check. both had been waiting for 30 days for a answer to why they were denied. one stated that his son tried to buy and could not his Address was the same. is this normal , or just a December and jan type of thing.

Sounds like they were frustrated with the wrong person. I’ve worked a gun counter before and all you get is yes or no, and no reason for the “no”.

It wasn’t uncommon for someone with a really common name to be denied, especially if they declined to provide their SSN.

Happened to my FIL. Took him quite a bit of legwork to get it cleared up including a couple trips to Nashville. He isn't a felon or have any record for that matter.
