.45/410 Pistol

For some reason, I have been bit by the urge to acquire a 45/410 pistol. I can see a couple of good uses for it as a pistol to carry while scouting/working on the deer lease for rattlers too close for comfort, etc.

I know Taurus has the Judge series, and S&W has the Governor. Just checking with my experts on here for any input before I head down that road. Are all chambered for a standard .410 shell? The S&W is higher in cost. Is it worth the difference?

Also, if anyone has one gathering dust in the safe that they would like to send down the road at less than new prices, I'd be interested.

the governor does that in addition to 45acp

Bought this one used recently and sort of doubt they are still being produced. Made in the 90's a full decade before the judge (from quick research)

mine will shoot up to 3" 410 and 45LC
The original judge would only shoot 2.5" 410 (and 45LC) but I'm thinking that may have changed

Some would suggest to not shoot the .410 without hearing protection if all possible!

We use a Governor on our property all the time. Best snake killin medicine ever for those rotten watersnakes. The Gov is loud and has a hefty kick to it
