223 twist rate

Looking at a ruger m77 compact in 223 it has a 16.5 in barrel and has a 1-9 twist. Questiin is will it stabilize a 60 gr nosler and a 64gr winchrster power point?

I am assuming you mean a 1 in 9 twist rate, since 1 in 99 does not exist for a 223.

Answer is Yep, should stabilize both of those weight bullets.

yes i recommend 64 nosler bonded bullet and partition

I like the 60gr nosler partition but have heard great things about the 64gr power point.

Yes it will-a 1/12 will generally stabilize those bullets so a 1/9 will work fine.

alright thanks guys. all i need now is $658..lol.. gonna be my daughters deer gun. not looking to hear how there are better choices caliber wise. i just know how recoil sensitive kids can be. and i know with a good 60gr nosler thereaint a deer atanding that could take one in thw lungs and not die. On another note anyone know of where i could get the stock engraved? Id like to have her name carved into it and then thw name.painted with hot pink paint.
