Dbllunger you gonna be able to make it?
I will almost certainly be there for the April shoot. Not as a shooter but just to come over and watch and maybe meet some TNDeer members. I have to learn to shoot left handed now. Glaucoma in my right eye is forcing me to switch. It sucks and can't be repaired. Slowed or stopped hofefully but never can regain what is lost.

Dang buddy! Sure hate that for you! Hopefully you can make the switch and become a southpaw shooter! Looking forward to meeting you out there!

Can you give the lay out of the match or do they have a place you can look up the layout on line?
Thanks
It depends on how the match director sets it up basically. But, in the previous seasons there have been 3 relays, then a bonus round.
Round 1 - 50 yards on an ARA target for score (unlimited sighters)
Round 2 - 75 yards at reactive targets ( dum dum suckers) 10 targets
Round 3 - 100 yards at reactive targets (golf balls) 10 targets

Bonus round - Know Your Limits swinger disc target. Discs get progressively smaller L to R, start wherever you want, large or small discs for score, 10 shots total, 2 must be used for sighters.

They added a cold bore shot competition at the beginning last year. 1 shot to start the competition, hit the steel disc at a given distance, ties move to progressively smaller discs until someone misses.

I'm sure they'll mix it up some this year, add something or make a change or two, but it's a fun shoot for sure. :)

Shoot what you've got basically, but no 1 piece rests are allowed. Bipods or front rests and rear bag are usually what most shoot, and some have shot prone before as well. Safety. Bolts out when the range is cold, and/or chamber flag in the chamber denoting the chamber is empty. They also only allow 15 rounds on the bench for the reactive target segments, and you can use 5 for sighters if needed, then use the 10 for the targets. Also 10 rounds on the bench for the bonus round. Rules are subject to change slightly of course, but that's the general take of how they operate. It's not difficult, they'll explain it all before each round and give plenty of time to get ready.

I'm going to try and be there if I don't have to work. They know I hate working on Saturday and usually let me work Friday if they need me to pick up an extra shift.
