2012 ram 1500 cv axle change

i think they have went bad not positive as I haven’t fully inspected under the truck yet but any one changed them out on a 4th gen ram? From research I’ve done I’ll probably have to rent slide hammer but just seeing what other advise I might be able to get.

Not positive it is my cv’s haven’t gotten under to look yet just a hunch by the sounds. But haven’t got a clue on what could of caused it

they use to have plastic carriers for the bearings is what my buddy said,I remember he change a few several years ago hopefully that changed at some point
