between working and fishing I have not had the chance to go turkey hunting as much as I would like but I have been lucky enough to kill both times I have been.

killed this one Saturday morning around 9:00.

9 1/2" beard
1" spurs

got on top of the hill at daylight and stood there to listen. one gobbled only 60 yards from me. with the leaves still off I could see him. I snuck to within 40 yards and could have killed him but didn't want to do it that way so I sat down thinking he might fly down close. he flew just under the hill and went away from me to some hens that were way down the hill so I left him and went on to another.
finally got another one to gobble about 8:40 on another ridge so I took off after him. I got set up by 8:55 and yelped a couple times and he gobbled about 100 yards away and 5 minutes later he was 40 yards and dead.

Doesn't really sound like you are having any problems being successful when you do have time to hunt. Terrific season so far--and keep your priorities in order and do something about work so you can hunt and fish more!
