1999 Honda 300 transmission?

I just acquired the 4 wheeler that belonged to my young granddaughters GGrandaddy and want to get it going for them. I'm pretty good and this stuff but have never been inside an ATV transmission. This ATV hasn't been started in a few years and doesn't want to go into neutral. I'm wondering what I may be in for. Taking it to a shop for repair is out of the question.

Look on YouTube. a few months ago I replaced the carb, cleaned the gas tank, replaced peacock and angle sensor, AND learned how to bypass the awkward brake and button to engage the reverse on most Honda's. I learned how to do all this on YouTube. There's been 1000's who have already had your problem and tell you how to fix it.

Oh yeah, i have never done anything to a atv except change the oil before I did this. You should be able to fix everything now it.
