I finally got to pull the trigger this afternoon on the biggest bird by weight and spur length that I've ever killed. I beat my son home and didn't have much time before dark so headed out by myself. I'd like to have this dramatic story but more right place at the right time. It was an absolutely beautiful bird and would have made a pretty mount but don't have much desire for a turkey mount.

It's now off to bed to try to punch my son's final tag in the morning.

23 lbs 10 oz
1 7/16" spurs
9.75" beard

Darn nice bird, congratulations , good story too!
