I remember the ones that whipped me more than the ones I killed I think. I like the challenge and todays culture what’s guaranteed results as easy possible I’ve had many days where a bird stomped me and I just had to shake my head. It’s part of if not a lot of the fun of this sport

Both birds I've killed were packed with beech nuts. Also our birds are hanging at the top of the mountain Which isn’t normal for this time of year. It’s a great fitness slash weight loss plan though

Which if that is the case our season and limits should’ve reduced to adjust for this dip in productivity. TWRA doesn’t seem to recognize how to manage anything with regards to changing based on the current population trends.

Suggestion for the non fly fisherman. Buy some clear casting bobbers and then buy some flies tied to look like cicadas. Tie the cicada about 18” below the casting bobber. Far more effective than the cicada plugs etc out there

Never, if he answers my calls and comes to find me he’s meeting his maker. Hunting the terrain I do is brutal and playing catch and release can wait until fishing
