    338.06 A-square head stamped brass

Is it 20 pieces of brass per box therefore the 60 pieces total?

When you make a long shot (300 yds or more) on game, what do you use?

Like most acquired skills you tend to use what worked/works for you and what you practice. For me, dial elevation and holds for windage. I shoot a good bit of LR target and my hunting and target setups are very similar optics wise so it's very natural.

    Christensen Arms mesa 308

Before I decided on a custom I looked at CA and found what TNRifleman said to be the consensus. If I would have gone factory I would have gotten a Fierce Rival which are around the same money.

    Funny Fart Stories While Hunting

I was in an elevated box blind with a buddy as a guest on his lease. It started raining pretty good and he starts cracking off some bombs. I told him he better stop or he's going to run out of "air" space. Sure enough he started to get that uh oh look and praying for it to stop raining. After...

    Brass and bullet trade thread

I know it's rough and would probably cost us more than the primers even at the goofy prices now.

    Brass and bullet trade thread

If we could figure out how to ship, I'd gladly trade some 205Ms for 215Ms

    Franchi Momentum Elite

I picked up an original Momentum on the cheap in 30-06 when prices started going sideways as I figured it would be good idea to have something in the stalwart cartridge. Pretty much the same experience as UpperTully. Light, good trigger, threaded muzzle and a good shooter. I'm running a 180...

    Loaded some 280ai

One of my very favorite cartridges. I'm running the Berger 175 EH in front of RL-23 with Peterson brass in mine with a 26" barrel. Very accurate and a hammer on game.

    22LR suggestions?

Taurus TX22. 16 rounds, smooth shooting, accurate and you can still find them for around $300.

Favorite Caliber for 300 Yards and Under?

.308 if you don't already have one. One of five guns/cartridges everyone should have anyway (.308, .223, 12ga, 22lr, 9mm) plenty capable in that range, can always find factory ammo and can be downloaded a bit for lighter shooters.

What did you do today in the reloading room?

I didn't this time. I have with my first FMJ work up for it and wasn't happy with the accuracy. I've heard from several folks like backyardtndeer that it's not necessary. I figured I'll give it a try and see if there's an appreciable difference.

What did you do today in the reloading room?

Loaded an OCW set for my AR .308. Hornady 150 SSTs, Starline brass, SW tactical rifle and Fed LRPs. Been debating on a new hunting cartridge upper for the AR-15 in either 6.5 Grendel, 6mm Arc or 300 Ham'r. With components still hard to find I decided just to work up stuff I already have and...

Compound or crossbow for a old newb

Semi old fart looking to extend hunting season as I head toward retirement. Currently hunting rifle and muzzleloader and trying to decide on what archery direction to go. I like the rifle style/scope aiming of the crossbow but there's a certain appeal for the draw and shoot of a compound. I...

Thanks that's good to know. I'm a member at Strategic Edge but have never stopped in there. I'll make it a point to on my next trip.
