    BOYCOTT the TWRA

I've said well before the recent terrible situation at Reelfoot, that "if it were a perfect world" then the state/feds would close (as in sell!) ALL west TN refuges except Reelfoot! I could care less what happens at Reelfoot (with regards to hunting) but I know for certain the classic days of...

Using Gun Powder in a Muzzleloader

I've owned and hunted with my Savage ML10ii since it's first year (2003) and have another for one of my sons. (I also have a TC Impact that I use Blackhorn 209 in and inside of a 200yd setup, I honestly see no need anymore for these heavy Savage's vs something light and easy like this Impact...

    There's 6s then there's...

GOLIATH 6s like this old swamp phantom! (Keep in mind that rack is sitting atop an honest 250#+ Hatchie swamp body.) I've had camera's out since August, got thousands of pics of more bucks than I can count. This pic and buck came early on the morning of Nov 15. I've never seen him before OR...

    Swamp buck

OH WOW!!! For exactly a decade now I have owned a place along the Hatchie River that has a 500 acre swamp on it and I can show you THOUSANDS of pics of swamp daddies that would blow most folks minds (including them swimming, not wading, nightly in rising water) and the heaviest I have...

    4wheelers and deer

PLEASE keep using 4 wheelers, ESPECIALLY if you near my place!!! ;)

    Buck Forage oats

I honestly couldn't tell the difference between regular "bob oats" vs the fancy "name brand oats" over a couple years trial! So I quit buying the expen$ive stuff. I usually plant 10-12 plots on my place (2acs to as small as those in the pics below) and use a simple mix of oats and wheat. I like...

Anyone use a electric mountain bike to ride trails and/or hunt with? If so which one?

:D lol yeah I understand ya bud! For me it's more a matter of "silent and scentfree" mobility tho. My place is on the Hatchie and was logged when I bought it so now 10yrs later it's THICK and the deer actually walk my roads and trails. Walking in on those trails leaves scent and "alerts" but...

Anyone use a electric mountain bike to ride trails and/or hunt with? If so which one?

I'll be 50 next year and I'm 250 (6'4" so at least I aint "portly" I'm just old and out of shape & hate exercise. :p) so as much as I really like the idea of using one back and forth on my Hatchie swamp, I realize the limitations of a bike and my "nimbleness" on snake snot slick roads! I wonder...

Anyone use a electric mountain bike to ride trails and/or hunt with? If so which one?

Do you have a pic or model of your bike? Would it do 5 miles of flat but very muddy trails/roads between charges? And when I say would IT do it, I mean just that, IT! Not me pedaling one time, I'm relying solely on battery power. I'm not "exercising" while hunting, I just want scentfree and...

    The Wife

Sounds like you haven't "properly cured her" of that propensity? Once you're wife figures out that when she gets that drunk and EVERYTIME she wakes up the next morning, she has a VERY SORE booty hole, then she'll stop that silliness pretty quickly! ;) Now if you are a "working man" and have...

    CWD counties, ditch the muzzleloaders?

I hunt on my own property (Haywood County) so it's not an "extra license issue" for me, but why carry smokepoles (even tho I've had my smokeless Savage for nearly 20yrs) when you can carry the full package? I enjoy my ML and 99.9999% of my hunting is well under 200yds so distance isn't an issue...

    Guess this one

Yes he's older but regardless of age, I would've already iced that fugly dude! As the saying goes, "You essentially can't remove a gene from a free range herd BUT you can lesson the EXPRESSION of that gene!" Lesson it with about 140grns through his boiler room.

    Food Plots No Cultipacker

I put in about 10-12 small plots (.25-.75acs) on my place ea fall. I have a 70hp Kubota 4x4 tractor and a 75hp Kubota skidsteer (on tracks). I certainly have many attachments for those machines but my "drag/harrow" is as simple and cheap as it comes. Every piece of equipment you put on a plot...

Nikon Warranty more to the story

Hate to hear this, used to be Nikon's optic quality was unsurpassed. I have about as many Nikon's as I do Leupold's and I'm honestly shocked that you found a camera of theirs that is subpar.
