This would be incredibly bad news for deer hunters if it’s proven to be related. Only a small percentage of people who consumed mad cows developed CJD but it was enough to create a problem.
Let’s just hope and pray these two were unlucky coincidences.
Why do you crimp? There sb plenty of neck tension to handle most any rough hunting situation. I think this is the source of your split necks. Crimping puts a lot of tension on the neck. If you happen to be jamming your bullets as well, this will certainly cause split necks.
The good Lord blessed me with this two year old gobbler. He had beard rot ( 4 inch beard) and a big patch of feathers missing on the back of his neck but he came in gobbling and drumming.

Agree and when I said “they” I meant both the commission and the TWRA. If the commission is going to disregard the recommendations of the TWRA, then they sb replaced. They can have and should have their opinions. But, disagree and disregard are two different things.
